Universiti Malaya (UM) offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various faculties, including Arts and Social Sciences, Business and Economics, Engineering, and Medicine. The primary medium of instruction is English; however, certain programs, particularly those focusing on Malaysian studies or languages, are conducted in Malay or other languages. International students are required to take and pass a basic Malay language course as part of their graduation requirements.

Certificate, A-Level, IB, or equivalent. Alternatively, a recognized diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 is acceptable. Applicants must also meet one of the following English language proficiency requirements, TOEFL: Minimum score of 500 (PBT), 173 (CBT), or 60 (IBT), IELTS: Band 5.0 and above (Academic), MUET: Band 3 and above, PTE Academic: Minimum score of 41, GCE O-Level: Grade C and above in English Language.
